Bob was very pleased to have a highly productive discussion with the debt charity Step Change about the build-up of rent arrears during Covid among tenants. There is evidence to suggest much of the arrears which have built-up will never be paid off.
In recent months Bob has spoken in Parliament about the growth of rent arrears during the pandemic and has called for support for those who genuinely cannot afford to pay so they do not fall into homelessness.
