The Prime Minister has set out the Government's roadmap for a cautious easing of national restrictions. A useful summary is pictured below while you can read the full roadmap on GOV.UK here.
From 8 March, people in England will see restrictions start to lift and the government’s four-step roadmap offer a route back to a more normal life. All the dates in the roadmap are subject to change depending on the current data and on four specific tests, while there will be a minimum of five weeks between each step.
The Government will also continue to support families and businesses throughout the steps set out in the roadmap - details of which will be set out by the Chancellor in the Budget on 3 March.
Now and at each future stage we must continue to be careful and follow the rules in place to ensure that this is the last lockdown, that we continue on a one way path to freedom. Please make sure to check the GOV.UK coronavirus page for the most up-to-date guidance as we move through each step in the coming months.
