Deadline for comments is December 5th
The short consultation on the boundary commission proposals closes very soon, on the 5th of December. Please lodge your support for the new proposals for Harrow East. This can be done via the following link: https://www.bcereviews.org.uk/. After much deliberation, the Boundary Commission has published its revised proposals for the Parliamentary Boundaries. I am pleased that the commission have looked at my recommendations and agreed with the proposal to retain Harrow East as a Parliamentary constituency.
This proposal, as with the original version of the Commissions plan, will mean that both Wealdstone North and Wealdstone South will move to the constituency of Harrow West. Kenton East and Kenton West will remain in Harrow East as is currently the case. Additionally, Queensbury ward which is currently in Brent will join to make up Harrow East. The full details of the boundary proposals can be found via the following website: https://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/review2023/b65f7782-658b-4c4a-9cba-59c16c807f77/a3-maps/L_34_Harrow%20East%20BC.pdf.
I would like to thank the hundreds of residents who have made representations to the Commission over the last few months, standing up against the initial proposals which would break up the Parliamentary constituency of Harrow East. Your hard work has been exceptionally beneficial in aiding this current outcome.
