Bob pays tribute to Prince Philip in Parliament, after the Duke of Edinburgh sadly passed away on Friday 9th April, offering his sincere condolences to the Queen and the Royal family for their loss.
Bob also celebrates the Duke of Edinburgh’s long and distinguished life of public service, including his military achievements and his notable environmental and scientific interests. Remembering Prince Philip’s past visits to Harrow, Bob noted his desire to reach across difference religious groups. He visited Harrow’s Krishna Avanti Hindu primary school and Harrow’s Zoroastrian community, meeting and engaging with people from many different backgrounds.
Bob said that we will remember Prince Philip for his wonderful life and devoted service and hopes that, in due course, we will have a suitable memorial in the Palace of Westminster.
