Speaking to Parliament via video call, Bob asked the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice what steps he will take to ensure that the new sentences he is announcing in the Sentencing White Paper are actually awarded by judges, and that criminals who perpetrate crimes against the person are not only brought to justice but punished and kept in prison, so that the sentences meet the crime. This is of particular concern as Harrow East suffered a spike in extremely violent aggravated burglaries prior to covid-19.
