Bob joined the police and local residents for a Community Roadwatch session on Camrose Avenue in Edgware where he saw first-hand the dangerous speeds some drivers reach.
During the session Bob heard from the police and residents about their concerns with speeding in the area.
Thankfully the session helped prevent speeding, as many watched their speed and slowed down. Bob's presence was even reported on the Waze app to alert other drivers to watch their speed, another preventative step to protect drivers and pedestrians.
Later, Bob said:
Community Roadwatch sessions are an effective way to remind drivers of their speed and help keep residents safe. Several drivers were pulled over and given warnings to watch their speed and I am grateful to the police for their assistance on the day. I encourage all residents to join and participate in the Community Roadwatch sessions when they are near their area. Together we can keep our streets safe and ensure motorists keep to the speed limit.
Speeding is a crime. The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and 3 penalty points added to your licence. Several drivers were waved down and spoken to by the police during the session. Please watch your speed.
