Every year I conduct a survey of residents so that I can act on your concerns, champion what matters to you and deliver what you want to see.
Since being re-elected as your Member of Parliament, I have been busy delivering on the priorities you told me mattered: crime, schools, housing, the NHS, business and transport.
Tackling crime was the number one issue raised during the election.
I have already met our Borough Superintendent to find out what the police are doing to keep us all safe. We are fortunate to live in one of the safest Boroughs in London but still crime is too high. I have been working as a close partner with the police and promoting the work they do every day.
Next year we will have Local Elections to decide who runs your local Council.
In Harrow, the Conservatives have run the Council since 2022, gaining control after 12 years of Labour’s financial mismanagement. We have seen a great improvement with one-hour free parking rolled out, free bulky waste collections introduced, investment in our parks, resurfacing many roads and filling thousands of potholes. I hope your Conservative councillors will be re-elected so they can continue improving our Borough.
In Brent, we only have 5 Conservative councillors compared to Labour’s 49! I hope more are elected next year so we can start turning Brent Council around and improving services for residents. Having been a Brent councillor for 24 years and Leader of the Council, I know how important it is that the Council delivers high quality, value for money services for residents.
